Been there? Done that? Well yes you’ve had the experiences of looking after children in the past however for that long period of time you may need a little bit of refreshing towards child practices; especially with your knew born grandchild. Having not looked after a child in a while may remind you of the exhaustion and time you need to be prepared for. There are courses available to help you get up to speed, and develop the skills and knowledge that are relevant to helping raise a grandchild.

Reading

Reading is always good for the brain and also a tool that helps improve vocabulary. Perhaps with this hobby it’s a good way for you & your grandchild to engage with one another and to help them have a better understanding of things.

Toys

All grand children love toys whether it’s educational without them knowing, from video games and Barbie dolls etc. If you’re a full time grandparent you may find that you have to sacrifice one your rooms as a play room just so you can maintain other spaces. Perhaps you may need to store your belongings so they’re safe and are out of harm’s way from your grandchildren. If that’s the case? Then here at BWI we cater to a variety of storage units for as little as two weeks or more for you to keep your belongings safe.
